Considered all over the world as one of major poets of the XX century, Federico García Lorca is among the most well known Spanish authors on any age. Until the age of 11 he lives in the family home of Fuente Vaqueros in “la vega granadina”. At that time the whole family moved to Granada city.
“La vega of Granada” is the primary origin of most of his obsessions: the relationship with the country side, with the peasants, with the landscape. In other words, this is a great source of inspiration for his work. That’s why we invite you to wander across two of the most emblematic places of the Lorca’s universo. His childhood home is in Fuente Vaqueros and the “Huerta de San Vicente”, the García Lorca’s summer house between 1926 and 1936.
To conclude this journey across the magic spots that inspired Lorca’s work, we will sit at the table to savor a traditional lunch of “la vega de Granada”.
